Myrtle beach international airport had more people-traffic through last month than this time last year which shows we are growing, and soon they will start planning on enlarging the airport to be ready for when we are at full capacity. We can't wait, this is an important part of our growth. Florida exploded with people from other countries buying property up like there's no tomorrow, and we can do the same here. With our climate being more refined and yet not as humid we do have plenty to offer. Contact us for all your Myrtle Beach real estate needs.

Fall bike week just ended, the weather was not the best, it rained on and off, but it was the great on Sunday. People lined up along highway 17 on there golf carts to watch the activities. It is sad when the bikes leave, although you can hear yourself think again. However, to think that many people have a hobby and can come together from all over is a wonderful thing. That is Myrtle Beach for you; we have all sorts of activities going on year round. That is why they call it Paradise and why Myrtle Beach was voted the # 1 beach by Yahoo Travel in 2007. Everything else is just second best.

It is October and the fall season is here. The area has gone into Auction mania. Saturday was a sad day for many when the properties that came up to auction could not even get a bid, yet there are a few other companies still planning on an auction. We will see if that is the way to go. It does not look like it is. We have too much going on here in Myrtle Beach to not know that the market will come back. It will just take a little time to even out. Construction is going well on several of the new features around town, such as the new Hard Rock Theme park, and Ruth Chris Steakhouse. This is why we believe that the Myrtle Beach turn around is just around the corner.

As we begin 2007 we wanted to give you an outlook of the Myrtle Beach real estate market. You can read something different everyday in the newspaper about real estate. Fortunately, we are reading some of the most positive comments today than we have in the past year. We feel that the major changes in our market are primarily due to the investors purchasing property, and then selling their purchases at a profit. The investor's purchases have increased the development of new property trying to keep up with the demand.
Now that there is such a wide variety of property and condos available, we are beginning to see lower prices. There is still property available in Horry County that is priced significantly lower than the 2005 average highs.
We believe that an improvement will continue to be seen throughout 2007. The one thing that people from other parts of the country realize is that our prices are considerably lower than other resort areas. In 2006, the average prices of homes, land, and condos across the board in Horry County have seen an increase over 2005. However, the duration on the MLS has exceeded the previous year, primarily with oceanfront condos.
This is an exciting time of growth in Myrtle Beach that will promote sales of real estate. We have a new Hard Rock theme park with a cost of over $400,000,000 being built, we anticipate a new airport terminal to be built that will double the number of gates, the Main Street connector in North Myrtle Beach will be completed in early 2008, the groundbreaking for a new Coastal Carolina University Arena will transpire in the early part of 2007, the Market Commons on the old Air Force base is being developed, and yet to be announced developments at the former Myrtle Square Mall and the Pavilion Amusement Park.
As you can undeniably see, we are passionate about the future of Myrtle Beach real estate and 2007!! The travel channel did a list of the best beaches in 2006 and Myrtle Beach ranked in the top 10! Being grouped with luxurious and exciting getaways like Maui, Hawaii and South Beach Florida is a great compliment. We're categorized as one of the most children friendly beaches with all of our shows and different amusements. For all those people who love long walks along the shore, we also ranked high for our large beach area with 60 miles of white sand.
Also in the Golf Digest, Myrtle Beach was ranked number one in golf home communities in the U.S.! They stated that with the reasonable prices and an average of 290 playable days out of the year ranks us the highest. Recognizing popular golf communities like Barefoot Resort & Golf and Tidewater Golf Club & Plantation and a newer private community like the Grande Dunes. The Grand Strand is definitely classed as a golfer's paradise!
We're working on a new pre-construction development in the Cherry Grove area of North Myrtle Beach called Sea Mountain Villas. With only 33 units available, this community offers one bedroom to 4 bedroom tropical themed units with luxury features such as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and sinks in kitchen and cultured marble vanity tops and whirlpool tubs in the master bath. Just blocks from the beach and conveniently located close to restaurants, golf, shows and many other attractions of Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
